We are hiring an experienced Business Development Manager to join our sales and growth team in Zagreb, Croatia.

This position supports full remote working, hybrid, or work from our office in Zagreb, Croatia. It’s up to you, Point Jupiter will support you.

About Point Jupiter

You will be joining a growing and excellent team of other frontend and backend developers, UX and UI designers, PMs, QAs, and execs. Point Jupiter develops and designs solutions for our worldwide clients in various industries. Projects we work on include web, and progressive web apps, mobile solutions, and distributed systems, and we are actively exploring opportunities related to AI and ML.

Projects envisioned, designed, developed, and delivered by our teammates are in use on all continents, and more than 400 million users used or interacted in some way with some of our solutions. And we want you, our biz dev, to help us reach even more of them.

We also enjoy working with exciting startups moving the boundaries of what is possible in fintech, retail, education, travel, banking, e-learning, and many other industries.

Our Biz Dev Manager

For this role, we are looking for an experienced, ambitious, and highly confident business developer who is constantly looking for new challenges and enjoys being a part of business success stories. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and generating new business opportunities and negotiating and closing partnerships contributing to our growth. Ideally, you will have experience in all stages of the sales cycle and bring forth a proven ability to think strategically, identify new market trends and maintain close relationships with clients.

You will collaborate closely with our CEO in achieving our business goals and will have a major part in fulfilling our vision and mission. Your responsibilities

  • Developing a growth strategy focused both on financial growth and client satisfaction
  • Mapping out yearly growth plans, setting milestones and strategies for client acquisition and revenue targets
  • Conducting research and identifying new business opportunities – new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships – or new ways of reaching existing markets
  • Promoting the company’s products/services addressing clients’ objectives (we prefer a solution selling approach)
  • Developing a strong understanding of market trends, industry development, and competitor activity 
  • Managing the full life cycle of partnerships – identifying clients, qualifying, analyzing, presenting, negotiating, and closing
  • Creating and presenting dynamic, engaging pitches and proposals to prospective clients
  • Negotiating service agreements and generating professional tender documentation
  • Provide management with weekly reports and up-to-date forecasts on sales activities and projects
  • Contribute to the overall vision, mission, strategy, and execution plans 

Your skills should include the following:

  • University degree – Bachelor or Master (however, we are open to excellent candidates without university or college degrees, too)
  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience in selling dynamic and complex business and IT services (ideally in agency business)
  • 2+ years of experience in management positions
  • Proven sales track record, preferably in the IT industry
  • Experience in defining, implementing, and managing business development and management strategies in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships with clients and senior executives 
  • Demonstrated commitment to stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements across multiple business sectors
  • Strong market and financial awareness, sound judgment, and business competencies
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, presentation skills, and strong business acumen
  • Exceptional negotiating, strategic planning, and collaboration skills
  • Highly organized, able to multitask, conceptual and strategic thinking 
  • Financial or tax compliance experience or knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of English (spoken, written)
  • Open-minded, highly motivated, challenge-seeking, and eager to learn from other colleagues but also on your own
