We are hiring a QA/Test professional to join our web development team in Zagreb, Croatia.

About Point Jupiter

You will be joining a growing and excellent team of other frontend and backend developers, UX and UI designers, PMs, and execs. Point Jupiter develops and designs solutions for our worldwide clients in various industries. Projects we work on include web, and progressive web apps, mobile solutions, and distributed systems, and we are actively exploring opportunities related to AI and ML.

Projects envisioned, designed, developed, and delivered by our teammates are in use on all continents, and more than 400 million users used or interacted in some way with some of our solutions.

However, we also enjoy working with exciting startups moving the boundaries of what is possible in fintech, retail, education, travel, banking, e-learning, and many other industries.

About you

Our next Quality Assurance/Tester

We’re in search of a meticulous and ambitious Quality Assurance (QA)/Test Specialist, ready to dive into a diverse range of projects. This is a unique opportunity to ensure the quality of the digital solutions we deliver to our clients, ensuring their satisfaction, and our continued success.

If you have an eagle eye for detail, a passion for problem-solving, and a knack for clear and constructive communication, we would love to hear from you. You will be a vital part of our team, working closely with developers, designers, and project managers, ensuring our digital solutions are nothing short of excellent.

Your skills should include the following:

  • Proven experience in a QA/testing role within a digital agency or similar environment
  • Proficiency in using testing software, bug tracking systems, and methodologies (Jira, GitLab/Github…)
  • Good knowledge of HTML/CSS and JavaScript and familiarity with RWD principles
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence
  • Be able to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Excellent knowledge of quality assurance principles, techniques, and tools
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and use cases
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with developers, designers, and project managers
  • Ability to learn quickly and willing to constantly update your knowledge base
  • Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written)
  • Open-minded, highly motivated, challenge-seeking, and eager to learn from other colleagues but also on your own

Desirable, but not mandatory

  • Experience in automated testing tools.
  • Familiarity with Git and code versioning principles.
  • Knowledge of CMS solutions like WordPress and RESTful APIs, headless CMS and related technologies
  • Familiarity with the Eightshift boilerplate is a big plus
  • Previous webdev or design experience

Your responsibilities:

  • Designing and executing detailed test plans for our digital products to ensure the highest quality standards
  • Performing functional and visual testing and inspection to ensure that the products and services work as designed and meet user needs
  • Identifying, recording, and documenting thoroughly all bugs and errors encountered during testing
  • Liaising closely with the development and design teams to ensure prompt and efficient resolution of identified issues
  • Collaborating with project managers and the rest of the team regularly through project checkpoint meetings and project management tools
  • Proactively suggesting improvements for systems and applications to enhance user experience
  • Writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test reports to communicate the results of your testing
  • Assisting with the training of users on new systems or software applications when required
  • Triaging and prioritizing issues based on severity, impact, and risk
  • Staying up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies, as well as industry trends and best practices
